Dubai to Democratize it’s Tourism Sector

Dubai will be the first city to go on board with democratizing travel through the utilization of up-and-coming technologies as it adds an extra distribution channel for all the hotels in its first phase.

Opened at the World Government Summit by the Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai Government as one of the ‘Dubai 10X’ projects, HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Tourism or DTCM is all set to execute this innovative programme in the next 24 months, helping the city to improve distribution of its tourism inventory via future-proofed virtual B2B (business-to-business) marketplace for the travel industry.

While stating the objective of 10X, HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed said, “Success of governments is determined by their ability and flexibility to re-invent themselves, and upgrade their services to cater to the evolving needs of the community.” Directed by this principle, the tourism effort goes beyond offering broader access to the global consumer, and opens up the domestic travel industry to all the new participants along with the innovative start-ups into the ecosystem and bringing value to Dubai related to higher and faster visitor conversion, and greater effect on GDP.

Dubai Tourism targets to give our global guests loads of choices across the depth and breadth of the local tourism inventory, inside a highly safe, transparent and real-time environment, as equally drawing even more cutting-edge entrants into the tourism sector and creating an open market ecosystem that is scale agnostic.
